19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his maiden title for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's initial championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court since spring of that year.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a title is especially meaningful," stated ranked player the champion.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had caused observers to doubt if his ability to perform at the top level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform aggressively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, securing 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his first professional victory, seized the initiative to force a final set.
Moutet saved 4 early-game break points in a close third set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner secured the title with a shot at the net area, with his opponent incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
