I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
